// What I'm building

A four-wheel-drive Technic crawler that can climb over stuff. It runs on Power Functions motors.

It has suspension so the wheels can move up and down over bumps, locking differentials so all the wheels keep pushing, and a 4-speed shifter.

  1. Try #1 — first full crawler

    WHAT I TRIED
    Put in the motors, suspension, locking diffs and the 4-speed shifter.
    WHAT BROKE
    Feedback from the test: it needs more gear reduction, the frame needs to be stronger, and the driveshaft angles need fixing.
    THE FIX
    Made a plan to fix all three, one at a time.

  2. Upgrade #1 — make it tougher

    WHAT I TRIED
    Working on the fixes from the feedback.
    WHAT BROKE
    Still in progress.
    THE FIX
    Add gear reduction & stiffen the frame first, then fix the driveshaft angles.
